Crazy overclockers

Found some crazy overclockers' videos at Youtube! These people are really carzy! The first video is about an overclocker using liquid nitrogen as coolant, then overclock the Intel cpu to 5Ghz! I wonder how much had he spend for this 5Ghz project? Here is the first video:


The second video: These overclockers are totally crazy, they overclocked their AMD Duron to 3818Mhz! After they showed what how fast they overclocked, the cpu fan stopped. Then, they removed the fan, and 'pop'! The Duron had exploded! Here is the video:


The third video: Intel CPU vs AMD CPU. They tested two Intel and two AMD processors, the two AMD processors end up in smoke. Here is the video:

The new Intel Core 2 Quadro

This is the new Intel Core 2 Quadro four core processor, the third generation of Core Duo series. Actually, this new Core 2 Quadro is having 2 Core 2 Duo processor fit into this CPU package, giving this processor four cores. Each Core 2 Duo processor will have 2 cores and these 2 cores are sharing a 4MB L2 cache, so a Core Quadro will have 4 Core 2 Duo cores(CPU), a total of 8 MB L2 Cache.here is a diagram that shows this:

As you can see, this processor is running at 2.66Ghz, with 1333Mhz FSB, the FSB speed had increased slightly compared to Core 2 Duo series. To run this processor, you need a recent motherboard that have 965 or 975X chipset, or a model based on Nvidia's nForce 500 chipset series for Intel processors. The Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 is ready to handle the Core 2 Quadro. They had also succesfully overclocked this processor to 3Ghz. When doing benchmarking, the performance of this processor had also increased and better than Core 2 Duo. The 3D performance of games had also increased by 3 times! Sounds great huh? Intel may release these 4 cores processor at the end of this year, for more accurate information, please go to their website. Simple definitions of computer terms:
L2 Cache:
L2 Cache means level 2 cache, a high speed memory located on the cpu. L2 Cache allows for high-speed access to the system's most commonly accessed data. L2 Cache is used to speed up processing of certain tasks and can provide faster CPU access to instructions and data in memory, thus increasing system performance.

FSB:
FSB stands for Front Side Bus, which determines how fast the CPU communicates with all other components, and thus makes a massive difference to the overall performance of the computer. The FSB is also used to work out the overall number of the Mhz the CPU is rated at.Overclockers often manipulate this value to increase the speed at which their processor runs. ie 100Mhz FSB X 17.0 clock multiplier = 1700Mhz processor. AMD Athlon FX Edition series processors are the processors having the fastest FSB, with the speed of 2Ghz, good for gaming and digital media processing.

Another thing, each core in the processor is running at 2.66Ghz, not 665Mhz(2660/4).

This pc is a bit expensive i think, haha. The ASUS P5VDC-MX motherboard have 4 DIMM RAM slots, 2 for DDR and 2 for DDR2, and remember that DDR and DDR2 RAM cannot be used at the same time, so just use DDR2 RAM. It support LGA775 socket processors, Pentium D, Pentium 4 and Celeron D. For the processor, Pentium D 805 is choosed as it is the cheapest available Dual Core processor. It runs at 2.66Ghz, providing 2x1MB fast L2 cache, if you want a faster one, you can choose Pentium D 915(2.8Ghz, 800Mhz FSB, 2x2MB L2 cache), it's price is B$295. For the hardisk, I choosed a SATA hardisk, which is faster than IDE hardisk, and also a bit cheaper. It's 250GB of space lets you store large amount of data, I recommend you to do partition, 60GB in C drive, and 100Gb and 90GB in D and E drive. This motherboard also have on board LAN, sound controller and display engine. If you want to add a graphic card, please remember to choose an AGP 8x interface graphic card, their prices are about B$100+, also you can purchase a new one at QQeStore. If you already have a display unit and not willing to pay for a new one, then deduct B$295 from the total cost price, lowering the total to B$1056. Below are some photos of the products stated above. Yoyoyoy, 1 week to exam liao, how's ya preparation? This few days my post are so short ah, you guys may find it boring. Haha! Yesterday I bomb by my China MSN friend that she dunno english and can't understand wat is in my blog! Duh! Have to write in chinese liao! Yesterday, my uncle bought 9 drama back from Miri, for only RM 140 only!!!!!!!!! Isn't that cheap? Also, those dramas are new ones! Haha!

I had switched my blog to Blogger Beta! The new 1 looks better, I will need some time to get familiar with the new features here!

1 more week and 2 days to GCE liao

Yo, how ya people? 1 more week and 2 days to exam lor, how's ya preparation? I haven't start yet, will start next week, target is 5As and above!!!!! How about u ha? Ah sheh's drama Maiden's Vow ended this friday liao and also finish download liao, haha. During this year, i collected 5 ah shes's drama, and I haven't finish 2 of them, will start watching it during or after exam.

OMG!!! 10 days no post liao, dunno soo ket come to my blog and post a comment leh, only know to day when ing siang and weihon tell me about it, haha! Sheh's drama 'Maiden's Vow' ends this friday, this drama is d best of this year!!!! I will vote her for my favourite actress this year if can! She did so well in this drama man! Joe Ma also not bad, his acting is so funny in d early HK part! I will vote him too if I can! The Land Of Wealth also not bad and it is a drama about a bank in the Qing Dynasty, 'Ding Feng Sheng'.

Currently playing Dota, I think all our ex 4RTA members are currently playing it, maybe everyone is hoping to be the champion? My skill is not that good, so the champion will not be me, anyway i like the game, it's interesting.
